Rev. George E. Morris
Senior Pastor

George comes to the Haddonfield congregation after an eleven year pastoral ministry with the Saint Mark UMC in Hamilton Square, NJ. He has also served Trinity in Ewing Township, Mt. Pleasant in Millville, and, while a student, Mt. Hebron in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. Pastor Morris is a graduate of Asbury College, Asbury and Princeton Seminaries. He enjoys hiking in the White Mountains of New Hampshire and the Adirondack’s of New York.

The Reverend Kathy Bohren Morris, George’s wife, is also an ordained minister in the Greater New Jersey Conference. A graduate of Eastern Seminary, she is presently serving as Chaplain at Salem County Hospital and Hospice of Salem County. She is this year’s recipient of the Spiritual Coordinator of the Year Award from the New Jersey Hospice and Palliative Care Organization. She has authored a self-help book on grieving and leads numerous grief support groups for children and adults.


Rev. Diane C. Pacione
Associate Pastor

Diane has joined the Haddonfield congregation after serving in pastoral ministry for the last seven years at Piney Hollow/Landisville Charge in Gloucester County and the Quinton/ Hancock’s Bridge Charge in Salem County. A 2001 graduate of Eastern Baptist Seminary with an M. Div., Diane was ordained an Elder at the 2004 Annual Conference.

Married to Robert for 28 years, they have 2 sons Matthew and Gregory

All the ministers participate in the worship services and preach on rotation. All are available for pastoral care. You may call them individually at the church to set up an appointment. HUMC also has a working relationship with a Christian Counseling Center and counselors in the South Jersey area should you need their services.

Dan Stephens
Youth Director

Dan has served as the Youth Director since 1997 after serving as Coordinator of Children & Youth Ministries at Asbury UMC in Woodstown, NJ. He is responsible for the creation and implementation of all church programs directed toward the youth and their families. Go to the HUMC Youth Web Site for details of his youth programs. Dan's deep personal interest, along with his wife's, is their two school age children. Dan has an active role in the South Jersey Network of Youth Ministries and other youth oriented organizations.














Wayne and Harriet Richmond
Directors of Music Ministry

Wayne and Harriet, alumni of Westminster Choir College, administer the extensive HUMC music ministry. They direct and accompany the Chancel Choir, the New Jersey Master Chorale, the youth choir, New Sound, and the Harriet Stewart Choir. They supervise all other choirs and ensembles. Click on "Music" on the menu at the top of this page to learn about the various music activities for all ages. Wayne and Harriet also direct a summer music camp program in New Mexico.











Barbara Smyth
Coordinator of Lay Ministries

The position of Coordinator of Lay Ministries is established to assist laity finding spiritual enrichment for their discipleship within HUMC and for serving the wider community. Barbara has been involved in the church through United Methodist Women, Chancel Choir, MasterChorale, and member of Administrative Council. She and her husband have led 10 Volunteer in Missions experiences to Alaska, Oklahoma, and Maine. Activities of the family (3 children and 10 grandchildren) keep them busy also.
