September 2002

Dear Friendly Seniors,

Now that summer is over, we look forward to seeing you at our September 16th meeting.

Punch—11:30 a.m.
Luncheon Committee—Peg Lowden, Ileane Godin, Jean Reich, Dolores Gaehring, Alma Reiss
Dining Room Hostess—Janice Lee
Decorations—Barbara & Joe Verble
Beverages—Helen Pollack
Host—Barbara Smyth

Please bring a covered dish that will serve eight people. For those who are unable to bring a covered dish, a contribution of $3.00 will be acceptable. Also, everyone is asked to contribute .50¢ to cover the “Chip Fund” which is used to defray the cost of dessert, beverages, rolls and butter.

We need helpers at all our luncheons. Won’t you sign up to be a hostess or serve punch? This is a good way to meet and make new friends.

Program—August A. Lango, Special Assistant to the Director of Elder Fraud Unit, with a presentation by the State of New Jersey, Consumer Affairs, Elder Fraud Investigation Unit. Their objective is to educate seniors in how to recognize fraud and, if involved, where and how to seek help.

Please try to attend our meetings. I think you will enjoy them, and bring a friend!

See you September 16th
Rev. Jim Dewart, President
Myrtle Stillwell, Director
